On December 7, vandals threw stones through the windows of a Ukrainian synagogue in Dnepropetrovsk where Levi-Yitzhok Schneerson, father of the last Lubavitcher rebbe, was a rabbi before World War II, the Jewish Telegraphic Agency reported. The building now serves as a Chabad boarding school for boys. No one was hurt, and the vandals ran away before police arrived.
