Paseo Colorado Agrees to Reinstate Chabad Menorah

PASADENA, Calif., Dec. 22 /PRNewswire/

In response to the overwhelming community support from across religious lines, Chabad of California is pleased to announce that this afternoon the Paseo Colorado Mall has officially agreed to allow Chabad of Pasadena to reinstate its traditional Chanukah menorah to its place in the mall. The Menorah will be reinstated during a special ceremony at 9:00 am on Friday, December 23. A Chabad Chanukah celebration sponsored by the mall will take place on Monday, December 26 at 6:00 p.m. to celebrate the holiday's themes of hope, light, and joy. "We are grateful for the overwhelming support we've received from across our community, and from people of all faiths," said Rabbi Chaim Hanoka, Director of Chabad of Pasadena. "Chanukah carries a universal message of light and freedom, and we appreciate the efforts of the Paseo Colorado Mall to bring this beautiful message back to its shoppers."
