A new Chabad on-line function helps people manage their personal lives and Jewish calendars.

A new Chabad on-line function helps people manage their personal lives and Jewish calendars.

MyChabad.org, a feature of www.chabad.org, lets people keep track of upcoming Bar Mitzvahs, remember yahrtzeit dates, see what time Shabbat begins and block out time for next year’s holidays. Because Jewish dates shift with the lunar calendar, this function enables users to update important holidays and anniversaries years in advance.

“Our goal is to help people increase their Jewish involvement,” says Chabad.org manager Rabbi Meir Kogan, adding that the site will help users “stay on top of their Jewish responsibilities and social life, like getting email reminders years down the road, schedule someone to say Kaddish for their loved ones, synchronizing their Outlook calendar with Jewish dates and receiving reminders of candle lighting times on vacation.”

MyChabad.org is underwritten by grants from Moris and Lillian Tabacinic and Craig and Deborah Cogut.
