Matisyahu: Hasidic Hot Stepper
Madonna wants to party with the Jewish reggae star
Walking home recently from morning prayers, Matisyahu -- the Hasidic reggae MC -- got a call from his manager: Madonna wanted to invite him over for Passover Seder. A follower of the Jewish mystical tradition Kabbalah, Madonna promised to follow all the strictures of Matisyahu's faith, but he remained suspicious. "I don't know if I can go," he says. "I'll have to check it out with, like, multiple people, to make sure it's kosher."

I often wondered about the excitement that Madonna and others like her, who are both invested in music and Kabbalah, must be feeling about the phenomena that is Matisyahu. Of one thing I was certain: That it's only a matter of time before Madonna actively reaches out to him. And behold, the headline. I wasn't predicting it to be a Pesach Seder specifically, but it is intuitive. It's Jewish, musical and significantly spiritual.
Of course, Madonna's not the only one clamoring for his spiritual attention (or for the attention that he is getting): Eve recently jumped up on his stage to sing; Burger King has requested him for a TV commercial; the top radio DJs are calling Matisyahu their "new obsession"; the Dave Matthews Band wants Matis to open for them on an upcoming tour; and Howard Stern is begging to have Matis on his new Sirius Radio show.
And that's just the loud surface noise. Just below the headlines is an entire industry, a ubiquitous industry, looking to one G-dly man for inspiration and direction.
Many are quick to ridicule Madonna's involvement in the Kabbalah Centre, and her interest in Judaism. I, though, even having studied cults and the Kabbalah Centre's doctrines and practices, only see her involvement as a positive sign of our times. Her desire to get to know Matisyahu personally is even more telling. She's drawn to Matisyahu's music because of its source and she wants to get to the bottom of it. "The music's amazing, sure, but I also want access to the wellsprings that you're drinking from. I want to draw on the same Truths that you do; to be enlivened by the same force."
What she's looking to absorb is some CHaBaD (an acronym for chochma, binah, and daas; wisdom, understanding, and knowledge, respectfully).
This, my friends, is the vibrations of redemption.

You've got the power! Well written and full of truth. You go Saad,
Hello, I'm a jew from the homeland Israel.
i'm sorry, but many people think that the Kabbalah centers for none jews is all about money. Kabbalah is for jews to study, and not even all the jews, it's not like learning math or history, it has got to do with high level of spirituality and faith.
you say Madonna is spiritual? I just saw her last video clips and I just don't see it. Madonna sells SEX what does that got to do with Kabbalah ??
These Kabbalah centers are an insult to Kabbalah and judaism.
Now about Matisyahu, I just love him, take a look at "All About Matisyahu":
