(IsraelNN.com) Kollel Chabad, a social welfare and health promotion organization, has announced the opening of the new Grabski Rehabilitation Center in Migdal Ha'Emek for multiple sclerosis patients who suffer from severe disabilities. The rehabilitation center, opening tomorrow, will offer comprehensive care to MS patients who require constant attention and cannot be treated at home. The new center will be especially helpful to young patients who until now have been treated in nursing homes and geriatric wards.
The center is a six storey building that has been transformed into a rehabilitation center at a total investment of some $3.5 million. It will house 30 in-patients in addition to operating as an outpatient daycare facility. The new center will offer specialized medical equipment, physiotherapy care, Jacuzzi treatments as well as living facilities, a dining room and an art room where patients can operate creatively and productively.
Guests of honor at the opening ceremony will include Rabbi Meir Lau, Chief Rabbi of Tel Aviv-Yaffo and former Chief Rabbi of Israel, Mayor Mr. Eli Barda Migdal-Ha’Emek and representatives of the Ministry of Social Welfare, as well as patients and their families.
