BLUE ASH -- An upcoming event at the Chabad Jewish Center will offer spiritual enrichment and instruction on the Jewish faith.
A "Shabbaton" program will begin with a service at 7 p.m. at the Center, which is at 3977 Hunt Road.
"It's a great opportunity for those who want to learn more about a traditional family Shabbat dinner," Rabbi Yisroel Mangel said. "It's (also) an opportunity to meet friends around the community over Shabbat dinner."
According to Mangel, Shabbat is a time of reflection and renewal.
"It's a very important time," he said. "(It) is a time for people to learn and share their learning with others."
The program will include a dinner and special presentation by Edwin Susskind, who integrates discussions of the traditional Torah with contemporary psychology.
The Shabbat dinner, which will start at 7:45 p.m., will feature a traditional menu of roast chicken, soup, kugels, gefilte fish, salad and dessert, Mangel said.
Susskind's presentation will start at 8:45 p.m. A children's program will also be offered. The program is open to anyone in the community.
